Countries - AnySport

Returns the directory of available countries/regions (in addition to specific countries, it also includes cross-country competition groupings like WorldCup and Africa, which are essentially the “top-level category” a league belongs to). This typically serves as the first level of the entire filtering chain: once you have country_id, you can pass it to League List to filter leagues by country, then progressively obtain league_id and season for use in endpoints like fixtures and standings. The data is largely static, so we recommend caching it locally on the client rather than calling this endpoint frequently.
